Weddings

Heidi has played for a number of weddings over the past twelve years from the formal cathedral church wedding to the informal outdoor civil ceremony. Below is a starting list of musical selections that can be tailored for your special day and ideas for where the music is appropriate. Traditional places for music during a wedding:

Ceremony

  • Prelude (seating of guests)
  • Processional
    (1-3 songs - entrance of parents, grandparents, bridal party, and bride)
  • Ceremony (background to unity candle, solo, etc. )
  • Recessional (exit of bridal party)
  • Postlude (dismissal of guests)

Receptions

Anywhere from 1-3 hours of an assortment of background music for the arrival of guests, cocktails, and/or dinner. Visit the Special Occasions page for a list of further repertoire.
