The harp first intrigued Heidi at the age of 7, while seeing it played at a wedding reception. This fascination began several months of begging and waiting before her parent's knew she was truly interested in playing the harp, and they were willing to make the commitment to begin this endeavor.

After beginning lessons at the age of 8, the harp has offered Heidi many opportunities. Her primary teachers include Mary Bircher with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra and Kathleen Wychulis with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra.

For portions of three different summers during high school, she was given the privilege to study with world-renown teacher Alice Chalifoux at the Salzedo Harp Colony in Camden, Maine. In 1999, she also released the Reflections of Christmas solo recording.

Heidi completed her Bachelor of Arts in Harp Performance at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in May 2005. She is currently a member of Duo Adante, a flute/harp duo with Betsy Bobenhouse, is Vice-President of the Great Plains Chapter of the American Harp Society, and has been teaching harp students for over 8 years.

Heidi resides in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is also an Independent Consultant with Arbonne International.
